The Public Advocate is a member of the Australian Guardianship and Administration Council (AGAC). AGAC represents State and Territory government agencies that have a role in protecting adults in Australia who have a decision-making disability that impairs their capacity to make personal or financial decisions.

Making an enduring power of attorney for financial decisions
You have the right to make your own decisions and to be supported to do so. Sometimes, even with support, you may not be able to make certain decisions. An enduring power of attorney lets you plan ahead by choosing someone you trust to make financial decisions for you if needed.
