Community and Professional group information sessions

Members of the community and professional groups can request information sessions, which cover a range of topics, including:

  • Decision-making capacity
  • Advance Care Directives
  • Supported and substitute decision-making
  • Informal arrangements
  • Decision-making and the Consent Act
  • The OPA Dispute Resolution Service
  • The OPA Information Service
  • SACAT information, including:
    • The role of SACAT
    • SACAT applications (how and when to make them)
    • SACAT orders (Guardianship and Administration)
    • Special Powers and Restrictive Practices
  • Information for Aged Care Facilities

Each session runs for 1 hour, including time for questions and answers.

Please note: a minimum of 20 attendees will be required to book an information session.
