About Us

The South Australian Public Advocate is a statutory official appointed by the Governor to implement the provisions of Section 21 of the Guardianship and Administration Act 1993 (the Act). 

The Office of the Public Advocate supports the Public Advocate in performing their duties and in particular provides information , education to the public, individual and systemic advocacy, investigatory services and acts as guardian of last resort.
